I grew up playing sports at a high level, eventually earning a D1 rowing scholarship at Clemson. Competing, performing, achieving — it was who I was. And I was always the bigger, more muscular girl on my team. I called myself the "big girl." I had no idea how much that voice would follow me after graduation.

After college, everything changed. I was in the gym every single day. I tracked macros, meal prepped, got my steps in — and every time I attempted a calorie deficit, my body wouldn't respond. I was battling PCOS, hormone and gut issues, jumping from HIIT to restriction to cardio, nothing felt right. I'd look back at college photos wishing I was that size again — even though all I did in college was pick myself apart.

I didn't recognize my body… and I hated that I couldn't "figure it out." I tried to do it alone until I realized I didn't need another plan. I needed structure that worked for my body now — a midsize body that needed to be fueled, not starved.
